I have a special guest on this episode! If you hear any breathing or little funny noises, it’s because little baby Jack was with me during the recording, all snuggled up in a wrap on my chest right by the microphone. This was my first episode I’ve recorded since he was born and it’s been on my mind for a while to share his birth story with you guys.
The reality is – motherhood can be hard – and it can be tough to not compare your reality or story to someone else’s. It’s a crazy journey and I want to give a shout out to all the moms out there!
Something I’ve realized since becoming pregnant is the whole motherhood journey – from trying to get pregnant, or for me unexpectedly getting pregnant, to being pregnant, to giving birth and being a mom is kind of a sensitive topic. EVERYONE seems to have an opinion. Everyone thinks they know the way it should be done and there’s conflicting ideas out there and a lot of pressure too.
As with everything else – you’ve really gotta follow your intuition along the way. Go with your gut. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s. The way your a baby came into this world is the way they were meant to come, and we’re so happy they’re here.
